Dear Parents
We have had another most successful sporting week.  Our Cross Country team came second in the Eaglesvale Invitational with three of our runners winning their events.  Our tennis teams did exceptionally well with all teams winning their matches this week, results detailed below, and on Monday we handed out a record number of medals awarded to our pupils at the Mashonaland Swimming Championships.  A photo of the medal winners is attached.

We also congratulate four of our swimmers, Zara Hussein, Theresa Staples, Julie Tongamirai and Makanaka Mawere, who have been selected to represent Mashonaland at the National Senior Championships next weekend.

Next week is Half Term!  School will end at lunchtime on Thursday 18th February and will re-open on Tuesday 23rd February.

However, there are a number of activities and events before then as follows:

We will be holding our ‘Open Day’ for Prospective ECD and Grade 1 parents next Wednesday at 11:00am.  All prospective parents are welcome.

The PTA will be holding their AGM followed by their annual Welcome Back Cocktail party next Wednesday at 5:30pm.  All parents are invited and encouraged to attend both the AGM and the Cocktail Party and parents are asked please to volunteer for the PTA Committee.  Would interested parents please contact the office.

The annual Inter-House Cross Country will be held next Thursday morning.  All pupils in Grades 3 – 7 participate with the points from the first seven runners in from each House going towards the Championship Trophy and the points from every runner from each house, based on times, going towards the Inter House Standards Trophy.

The event will begin at 10.00am and should end at approximately 12:30pm.  All parents are invited to come and watch and support.

There will be a parent’s event for those who enjoy running.

Our thanks go to all the parents and pupils who contributed to today’s special Valentines Cake Sale and we wish everyone a Happy Valentines Day on Sunday.
