Dear Parents
Our first week of afternoon activities has gone very well. Our tennis teams have also played their first matches of the year with the results below. Congratulations must go to all our tennis team players and especially to those who played their very first matches ever. The tennis teams will be playing again tomorrow against Ruzawi.
Our Bonds & Tables weeks end today. Hopefully all pupils are up to speed with their Bonds and Tables, which are hugely important to maths progress. Parental help with the learning of these is most important.
Next week our Cross Country teams will be taking part in their first friendly Cross Country meets with the ‘B’ Teams travelling to Westridge and the ‘A’ Teams to Gateway.
All the extra curricular activities have started as well, including gymnastics, rhythmic gymnastics, ballet, modern dancing, drama and piano lessons. The Pirates Swimming Club is also proving very popular. Please contact the office for further information on these if required.
Would parents please be reminded that all pupils are to be collected from school within 20 minutes of either school or afternoon activities ending. If this is inconvenient, we do provide a day boarding facility. A pupil who stays for day boarding goes for lunch, rest, supervised homework, afternoon activities, afternoon tea and supervised play with the boarders. The only difference being that they don’t stay overnight. The charge, including lunch and afternoon tea is ECD, Grade 1 and Grade 2 is $8:00 per day and Grade 3, 4 and 5 is $9:00 per day.
The PTA will be holding their Annual AGM on Thursday 12th February at 5:30pm in the School Hall. This will be followed by a Cocktail Party for all parents, old and especially new, at 6:30pm. Formal notification of the AGM is attached. Annually half the members of the Committee step down after serving two years, once again we are asking for volunteers to come onto this very important Committee. For nomination forms and further information, please come to the office.
School Fees
Please note that the deadline for paying the term’s fees without incurring the $100 admin fee has been extended to Friday 30th January.
