Dear Parents
Firstly, Ramadam Kareem to our Muslim pupils and parents who are celebrating their special month.
It was with great sadness that we learned of the passing of Mr Doug Dryden, who had been a long standing member of the Ruzawi Schools Board of Directors and who had given so much to Ruzawi and Bishopslea Schools.
Half Term appeared to have been enjoyed and appreciated by all. We are now into the second, and hectic, half of the term.
The support for the PTA’s Golf Day, being held today, has been enormous. There is a very full field, huge sponsorship and many great prizes to be won. Everyone is invited to the Prize Giving, which should start at 6:30pm and the social afterwards. There will be food on sale as well.
Our sports teams have had an exceptional week with many exciting hockey and netball matches being played. Results follow. Special mention must be made of the 1st Hockey Team match against Chispite which was a most exciting match to watch. Both teams played their hearts out with a 3 – 3 result being achieved.
Our Grade 7’s will be sitting their Common Entrance Exams at their schools of first choice tomorrow. They have all been working very hard for them and are well prepared. We wish them every success.
Please be reminded that all interested parents, including parents from other schools, are invited to the talk on ‘Understanding & Help of Dyslexia and ADD children’, which will be given by myself in the School Hall next Tuesday, 8th July, at 6:00pm.
