17th July 2015
Dear Parents
Firstly, we wish all our Muslim pupils, parents and friends a Very Happy Eid-Ul-Fitr as they now come to the end of their Holy Month of Ramadan.
We were all very excited to have our new bus delivered this morning. It is a 60 seater bus, which we desperately needed to transport our many teams and which will be used for the morning bus service, as there are a number of pupils on the waiting list. Would parents wanting to use the service, who were previously unable to, as the bus was full, please contact the office.
We are quickly coming to the end of the term with only two and a half weeks of term left and a number of events and functions to be held, which all help make the end of term very exciting, and rather hectic.
Last night our Senior Choir sang beautifully at the EPSA Combined Schools Choir Concert held at Twin Rivers Schools. Ten Schools took part in the Concert. The Senior Choir is also busy rehearsing for the Choir of the Year competition, which will be held on Friday 31st July.
Our Grade 3, 4 and 5 pupils are busy rehearsing for their production of ‘Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs’ which they will perform for parents and friends on the evenings of 29th and 30th July.
Our Grade 7’s have started their Adventures Unlimited course to help prepare them for Senior School next year. Our grateful thanks once again go to the Scripture Union for providing this valuable service.
All pupils in Grades 3 – 7 had talks on hygiene today. Our thanks go to Unilever for undertaking this.
Our Infants pupils are also busy honing their ball skills for their Ball Skills Watching Days. Please would Infants parents be reminded that pupils are to have the new sports kit by the Watching Days and that the new kit is compulsory as from next term.
We would like to remind parents of some of the School Rules for Parents.
The most important being that under no circumstances are parents allowed to talk to a pupil who is not their daughter concerning any incident that occurred at school and no parent is allowed to talk to or contact another parent to complain about any incident concerning the other parents’ child. All queries concerning someone else’s child are to be directed to the Class Teacher, Deputy Head or to me personally. There are extremely good reasons for these rules, which are expected to be observed by all parents.
