Dear Parents
Our Grade 7’s are all very relieved to have now written their Common Assessment Papers for entry into the Senior Schools of their first choice. They are now working towards their end of year Grade 7 ZIMSEC Exams. The Grade 7’s are also undergoing the Adventures Unlimited course to help prepare them for Senior School. Our grateful thanks go to the Scripture Union for once again offering this to our pupils.
There has been great excitement this week as several of our classes have taken part in the National Institute of Allied Arts Speech and Drama Festival. Our pupils and classes have done exceptionally well and all must be congratulated. The results are listed below. However, special mention must be made of Grade 5M, Grade 6B and 6H for achieving Honours.
On Thursday afternoon we held our first Indoor Hockey Festival. Chisipite and Gateway U13 1st Teams were invited to participate with the first teams split to two 7 a side teams using a common goalkeeper. The Festival was a huge success with everyone surprised at the speed of the game and the excitement generated. Indoor hockey matches are most certainly going to be regular and much looked forward to events in the future.
Next Wednesday, our Senior Choir will be joining Chisipite Junior and Lilfordia Senior Choirs in a joint production of ‘Oh, Noah’ that will be performed at Chisipite Junior School. The joint concert last year was most entertaining and we look forward to next week’s production.
Our pupils are learning their words for next Friday’s ‘Inter-House Shona Word A Day’ competition.
