Dear Parents
We have had a very smooth and happy start to the year, characterised by the ECD and Grade 1 pupils who confidently walked into assembly on the first morning as if they had been doing it for years.
Work on the new Remedial Centre in the hostel is progressing very well. Demolition was done at the beginning of the holidays and work has now resumed after the builders’ shut down. Building can be done during the term as the whole area has been isolated.
It is a pleasure to welcome our new Junior Mistresses, who are all ex Bishopslea pupils and who are here for their ‘Gap Year’ before going off to University. They are Grace Mano, Roberta Matshalaga, Chiyedza Matambanadzo, Tanaka Chikwavaire, Paida Gambe and Tadiwa Chikosi.
Yesterday we held our Annual Grade 7 lunch to welcome the Grade 7 pupils to their final and very special year. We wish them all every success.
This morning we held our class ‘Meet the Teachers meetings’. Our thanks go to all the parents who attended these very important meetings.
The Afternoon Activities Time Table and the Term Calendar have been forwarded. Please note that afternoon activities begin on Monday.
Pupil Information Update Forms were given to all parents this morning. If not yet filled in please fill in and return on Monday. This information is extremely important, as we require current contact details for parents at all times.
School Fees
Please note that school fees were due on the first day of term. However, payment plans can be made on submission of Acknowledgement of Debt forms to the office, which are required, irrespective, if fees are not paid in full by the cut off date. There is also a $100:00 Admin Fee if fees not paid by the cut off date.
Please note that date for payment of fees in full, after which the Admin Fee will be charged, has been extended to Friday 23rd January.
It is important to note that we do not accept any cash for payment at school. Fee and other payments should be deposited into our Standard Bank Account and copies of deposits brought to the office so that receipts can be issued. Our bank statements do not indicate who deposited the fees or who the fees are in favour of, so copies of deposit slips are imperative. Unaccounted-for deposits are put into our suspense account until parents bring in deposit slips so that we can identify who made the deposits and issue receipts.
