Dear Parents
Our Invitational Track Meet was a great success on Wednesday afternoon especially as our girls won the Girls Section so convincingly.
Our congratulations go to Athletics Team and our thanks to Miss Olivier for organising the event so well and to Mr Jambanja and his team for the track and fields, which looked stunning.
The Grade 7’s underwent a Team Building and Leadership course to day, which they all enjoyed. Our thanks go to Ms Gwynn Wannell for running the course for them.
The Eisteddfod started this week with our three Marimba Ensembles competing. They played beautifully. The adjudication was very strict, though, on all competitors. Next Week the first of our soloists will be competing.
After the success of our Cross Country Teams at Bryden Invitational, when they won the Girls Section last Friday, we look forward to this afternoons 3 Woods Cross Country at Lilfordia where we wish our ‘A’ and ‘B’ Teams every success.
Next week is Book Week. Each class will be holding activities to promote and encourage reading for fun. The week will end with pupils coming to school next Friday dressed as their favourite book character. There will also be various book displays next Friday lunchtime at which books will be on sale. Parents wishing to buy and donate books to the library will have a certificate pasted inside the cover of the book with the pupils name, Grade and year.
The Grade 6 classes will also be performing their ‘Cultural Production’ next Wednesday at 6:30pm in the School Hall. This entertaining annual production is open to all parents and friends.
