Dear Parents
Half Term is here already. School ends today at 1:00pm and will re-open on Tuesday.
Last Friday afternoon our Chess Team played a match against Tynwald with results below. On Saturday afternoon our Senior Choir went to watch the REPS production of ‘Oliver’ and on Tuesday Grade 3D went to ‘Twala’ on a field trip, which they thoroughly enjoyed. Our Hockey teams also played matches against Twin Rivers and this afternoon eight of our 1st Hockey Team players will be going to the Mashonaland Trials, where we wish them every success.
This week we reverted back to normal afternoon activities, which will continue until the end of term.
With the help of the PTA and the Board of Governors, we are in the process of purchasing a 60-seater bus. This is needed for our away matches as we often have to transport more than the 38 pupils that our largest bus can accommodate, and for the morning bus service from the Borrowdale Race Course as there is now a waiting list.
As we will be able to transport a further twenty two pupils on the morning bus service, would parents wanting to use the service but have not put their names on the waiting list please come to the office and do so.
The PTA’s Golf Day is now only two weeks away. Would parents wishing to play please ensure that they enter early as there are limited Tee-Off times, which are given out on a first come first serve basis.
We would like to wish everyone a happy and safe Half Term.
Gymnastics
Our congratulations go to Tiyane Nyahunzvi for being the only Zimbabwean Gymnast selected to attend a Rhythmic Gymnastics Camp organised and funded by the South African Gymnastics Association.
