Dear Parents
Our Grade 7’s are all very relieved to have now written their Entrance Exams at the Senior Schools of their first choice. They now eagerly await their acceptances.
The PTA’s Golf Day is next Friday. There are only a few Tee Off times left for last minute team entries. Parents wanting to play are advised to get their entries in as soon as possible. In order to give every team participating a prize, the PTA is still appealing for more prizes, which can be dropped off at the office.
Sponsorship for the event has been phenomenal with some of the best give-aways ever seen at a Golf Day to be given out. The Golf Day competition is a Mexican Hat and will be played at the Country Club in Newlands, off Princess Drive, next Friday with Tee Off times starting from as early as 9.00am. Our thanks go to all the PTA Committee Members who have worked so hard to ensure this event is going to be the most memorable to date. Our thanks also go to the Grade 5 parents who are assisting and especially to all the sponsors, players and prize donors. All parents, friends and players are invited to the Prize Giving next Friday night, which should start at approximately 6:30pm and to the social afterwards. There will be food on sale.
Our Junior and Senior Choirs are busy rehearsing for the Bishopslea and Chisipite Combined Choir Concert to be performed next Thursday evening at Chisipite Junior School. Parents are most welcome to attend this concert that will be performed in the Chisipite Junior School Hall at 5:30pm.
Our 1st Hockey Team will be travelling to Bryden tomorrow to take part in their Festival. We wish them every success.
Unfortunately Barwick cancelled their hockey fixtures with us this week. The Fillies Teams did play in the L.C.P.S. Festival last Saturday though. Results are listed below.
Over the past two weeks eight of our classes have been on field trips for Environmental Studies and Agriculture. Grade 5S and 6M went to Makomo Farm and Grades 3C, 3H, 3O, 4C, 4G and 4T went to Gosho Park. All trips were most enjoyable and informative.
