Dear Parents
Our participation in the National Institute of Allied arts Eisteddfod has started off very well with our Marimba Ensembles competing this week. Results are listed below. This morning our Grade 3 and 4 choirs sang their Eisteddfod songs for us in Assembly and did so beautifully. This year’s Eisteddfod promises to be most entertaining.
We hosted our Bishopslea Invitational Track Meet on Wednesday afternoon, which was a great success and very exciting. Congratulations go to our athletes who won the Girls Section.
Our Cross Country Teams travel to Lilfordia this afternoon to compete in the Three Woods Cross Country. We wish them every success.
The Grade 6 pupils are busy rehearsing for their ‘Cultural Evening Production’, which will be performed next Thursday evening at 6:00pm in the hall. All parents and friends are invited to watch this highly entertaining production.
Next week is ‘Book Week’. All the classes will be undertaking activities to promote reading and the week will end with ‘Book Week Dress Up Day’ next Friday when all pupils can come dressed as their favourite book characters. Representatives from the booksellers will be here on Friday with a selection of books for sale.
On Wednesday evening the PTA held their AGM and Welcome Back Cocktail Party. They were well attended and were most positive. Our thanks go to all the parents who made the effort to attend.
