Dear Parents
What a wonderful and special end to the term it has been. The Carol Concert on Monday evening was so special with our pupils singing, playing their instruments and reading the Bible readings beautifully. It was a special start to the Christmas Season.
Last night we held our Prize Giving at which the past year was reflected on and our pupils were honoured for all their achievements during the year. It was a pleasure to have Mr Rodrigues as our Guest of Honour after his thirty-eight year association with Bishopslea.
There was great excitement yesterday as Father Christmas visited the school to the delight of all. The class parties were held with mountains of food left over which the office staff sorted out and sent to Harare Children’s Home, St Josephs and B S Leon.
Grade 6H and 6B went to the Waterfalls Old Age Home yesterday, as well, where they distributed gifts they had collected for the residents. So good will we spread to many yesterday.
The $344:00 retiring collection after the Carol Concert will also be donated to Children’s charities to help make Christmas more special for them.
This morning we held our Final Assembly at which we awarded our final presentations and formally bid our Grade 7’s an emotional goodbye. The Grade 7’s are not quite finished though, as their Leavers’ Dinner will be held tomorrow evening.
It has been a truly wonderful year, which has ended on a very high note. We wish everyone a Happy Christmas, a Prosperous New Year and safe holidays.
Yours sincerely
