Dear Parents
As we get closer to the end of term our weeks become very full. This week our Senior Choir took part in the Combined Schools Choir Concert on Wednesday afternoon. It was a wonderful concert with over three hundred and fifty pupils from different schools taking part and singing as a whole choir. What really stood out was the singing of the National Anthem, which was absolutely superb.
The Senior Choir was also asked to sing at the Ministry of Education’s District Awards Ceremony today. This was a great honour, being chosen out of all the schools in the District, to perform at this huge event.
The Grade 7’s, who sat their entrance exam at the Senior Schools of first choice, will all receive notifications of acceptance today. We wish them all every success.
The Grade 7’s have all now started their Adventure Unlimited Course, which will help them prepare for Senior School. Next week they will also be doing their MARS Basic First Aid Course.
The Nursery pupils had their first outing in the school bus this week when they went to Noah’s Farm. It was a very exciting morning for them, which they all thoroughly enjoyed, especially riding the ponies.
Our pupils have helped two ex-pupils’ social service initiatives with their helping of the underprivileged over the past weeks. This included donations for the Autism Organisation of Zimbabwe and donations, including donations of furniture by the school, for the Mutasadona Primary School.
The Grade 3 – 5’s are busy rehearsing and preparing for their dress rehearsal of ‘A Tribute to Walt Disney’, next Thursday morning. The performances for parents will be on the evenings of 30th and 31st July.
Our Termly Shona Word A Day competition was held in each class today. Results and certificates will be presented by the end of term.
