Dear Parents
Half Term is here already. It does seem to have come rather quickly but I’m sure will be appreciated by all. We wish everyone a safe and happy weekend.
Yesterday afternoon we hosted a most interesting talk on ‘Social Issues and Mobile Communications’ for interested teachers from all CHISZ Schools. The talk was given by Neil Padmore of Frampol Investments. He gave the same talk to Heads at the Head’s Conference.
Our hockey teams have been playing extremely well with all matches, Fillies to U13, very exciting to watch. Results follow.
We are undertaking a new initiative to disseminate information to parents, as well as using the computer SMS system and emails. We have purchased a smart phone specifically for Whats App and will use it to relay information to parents who are on Whats App. To facilitate this, we are asking all parents on Whats App to let us have the phone numbers they use for it and encourage both Mom and Dads to let us have their numbers. We are currently putting all the numbers received into groups. If any parents haven’t as yet forwarded numbers, please send a message with the child’s name and grade to 0776 445473.
The PTA’s Golf Day, is only one week away, Friday 4th July. Only four more teams can be accommodated so please forward entry forms if you want to play in the competition. There are also still some holes and Tee boxes available for sponsorship.
The PTA are also requesting sponsorship of a ‘Gin Tent’ for the Golf Competition. If any one is able to help with this please contact the office. Sponsorship has been huge, including lovely fleece sleeveless jackets for all competitors as well as golf balls, utility bags and great prizes. It promises to be another exceptional event.
