Dear Parents
Half Term was enjoyed by all with everyone returning refreshed and ready for this second and most hectic half of the term.
We hit the ground running this week starting with hosting the 28th Annual Pisces Gala on Wednesday, at which Bishopslea teams up with Ruzawi, Hartmann House teams up with Convent and Chisipite teams up with St John’s. It was a most exciting gala with results listed below.
Then, on Wednesday and Thursday evenings we were treated to the highly entertaining Infants Productions. The ECD put on ‘The Christmas Mouse’ and the Grades 1 and 2 putting on ‘The Lighthouse Keeper’s Lunch’. Both were exceptional with the standard of the performances way beyond the years of the pupils to the amazement of all. Our thanks and congratulations go to all the pupils and to everyone who helped make the performances so successful and enjoyable. After giving their all last night and on Wednesday evening there were some very tired Infants pupils this morning. They certainly gave their all though.
We held our termly Inter-House Bonds & Tables competition this morning. The results of which will be added to those of Terms 1 and 2 for the Trophy that will be awarded at Prize Giving.
Next week is exam week. There will be no day scholar lunches, day boarding or afternoon activities except for matches and galas.
We will be holding our New Parents’ Tea next Thursday afternoon at 4:00pm. All parents of pupils who will be joining Bishopslea next year are invited to come and be given a talk on the school and what to expect. We look forward to meeting and welcoming our new parents.
We were very happy to have ZESA back this morning after not having all week owing to a fault. Hopefully our generator will have a well-deserved rest today.
Cake Sale
The P.T.A. will be holding their ‘Halloween’ Cake Sale next Friday 30th October. Pupils in Grades ECD, 2, 4 and 6 are asked to please supply cakes, biscuits, popcorn etc.
