Welcome back to all and a special welcome to new parents and pupils joining the school this term.
Our hockey girls had a most successful time in South Africa and must be congratulated for all the compliments received on their behaviour and manners. The results follow.
We also had a number of girls go on a Marimba Tour with Kutinya Arts to Germany, Sweden and the UK. It sounds as though they had a most memorable adventure.
A great deal was accomplished during the school holidays including the repair and refurbishments of the infants playground equipment, the completion of the refurbishment of the second teachers flat, the painting of the chimneys using the roofing ladder and scaffolding imported by the Development Committee and which is the only one of its kind for steeply pitched roofs in the country, and the retarring of all the internal roads and car parks. As the tar is still curing, which will take a couple of months, please would parents be very careful when turning vehicle steering wheels. Steering wheels should only be turned when vehicles are in motion as turning steering wheels when they are stationary will damage the uncured tar. Everyone’s assistance with this would be greatly appreciated.
On Sunday, Grade 6H will be going on camp to Far & Wide. Grade 6B then go the following week. We wish them all a most enjoyable time.
Copies of the Term Calendar, Afternoon Activities Timetable and lunch returns have already been forwarded in hard copies via pupils. Please ensure that lunch returns are filled in and returned on Monday with payment for hostel lunches. Also, please note that Afternoon Activities begin on Monday.
School Fees
Please note that the 2nd Term fees were due on the first day of term and that full term fees not paid before today, Friday 16th May, would not incur the $100 administration fee. However, this time limit has been extended to 1:00pm on Friday 22nd May after which fees not paid in full will incur the administration fee.
Please also note that we are sitting with a large amount of unidentified school fee payments in our suspense account. Please send in proof of payments so that receipts can be issued.
