Dear Parents
On Wednesday afternoon we hosted our most successful and enjoyable Bishopslea Invitational Track Meet with six invited schools and were very pleased to win the Girls Section.
This week we started our House practices for the Inter-House Sports Day.
This afternoon our A & B Cross Country Teams will be competing in the Three Woods Cross Country at Lilfordia. We wish them every success.
Next week is Book Week with the classes doing various activities to promote reading. The week will end with all pupils coming to school dressed as their favourite book characters next Friday. There will be various booksellers displaying books for sale next Friday from 12:00pm as well. Parents can buy books for their children and can buy books to donate to the library. Books can also be brought from home for the library, with all books donated having the name of the pupil donating the book inscribed on a certificate in the book.
Attached to email forwarded newsletters are pictures of the lost property left at school at the end of last year. It is a huge amount with thousands of dollars worth of sports equipment and clothing left unclaimed and unmarked so could not be returned to pupils. All the lost property is being given to the PTA who will sell or donate to charity, depending on the state of the items.
The National Institute of Allied Arts Eisteddfod starts next week. The Eisteddfod runs for three weeks starting with soloists and pianists’ next week. We wish our soloists and pianists every success.
