Dear Parents
It is with great sadness that we have just heard of the passing of Arthur Mutsonziwa, who not only served on the Board of Ruzawi School as a Board Member and Chairman, but was a Director and Vice Chair of Ruzawi Schools (Pvt) Ltd, to which both Ruzawi School and Bishopslea belong. Mr Mutsonziwa loved our schools and gave a huge amount of his time and effort over many years to them. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family at this time.
Our first week of Afternoon Activities has gone very smoothly with all our hockey teams playing their first matches of the season. Results are listed below.
The Fillies A and U13 1st netball teams join the hockey teams tomorrow at the Gateway Festival when they will play their first matches of the season as well.
Grade 6B return from Far & Wide today having thoroughly enjoyed their camp. Grade 6H go to Far & Wide on Sunday and return next Friday. We wish them an equally enjoyable time and experience.
The PTA have hit the ground running this term and are busy organising the Movie Night, which will be held next Friday evening, and the Annual Golf Day, which will be held on 8th July.
Tickets for the Movie Night (Ice Age 2) will be on sale as from Monday from the office and from PTA members who will be in the Car Park at lunch times. Tickets for pupils cost $5 and include food and a drink. Please note that only tickets sold in advance will include the food and drink as numbers need to be ascertained for catering. Tickets for adults will be $2 but will be entry only. There will be separate food and drinks on sale for adults though.
Blankets and chairs may be brought and it is suggested that everyone dresses very warmly as the movie will be shown on the netball field. The Flier is attached.
The Golf Day will be held at Country Club on Friday 1st July. As Tee-off times are limited teams will be accepted on a first come first servce basis. This annual event is always very well supported so parents are asked to get their entries in early to avoid disappointment. Entry forms are attached.
Once again we are appealing for sponsors for Tee off boxes, greens, prizes and giveaways.
School Fees
The deadline for paying the 2nd Term school fees in full without incurring the $100 Admin Fee has been extended to 27th May 2016.
