Last Sundays Sponsored Walk & Fun Day was an incredible success and certainly lived up to being a most enjoyable Family Fun Day. Congratulations must go to the PTA for their organisation and to the Grade 5 parents for all their help. The Grade 7’s must also be congratulated on their innovative and fun stalls, which kept all the children attending engrossed for hours. Our grateful thanks go to everyone who supported the event.
The Grade 7’s have now finished their ten days of ZIMSEC exams. They are all to be congratulated on their efforts.
We hosted a most successful Bishopslea Invitational Gala on Wednesday afternoon. We included extra races for Bishopslea pupils, which allowed over 110 Bishopslea pupils to take part in the Gala, many of whom would not otherwise have the opportunity to swim in an event of this size. We congratulate all our swimmers.
To help teaching and to promote understanding of Agriculture, Grade 5M and 5W went on a trip to Mac Farm and Grade 4C went to Mooland Dairy. Both trips were most informative and enjoyable.
Today’s PTA Cake Sale was very well supported. Our thanks go to all the parents who brought cakes and eats.
We are sitting with a large amount of money in our Suspense Account that has been deposited for fees but can’t be receipted or allocated as we have received no proofs of payment for those fees so cannot ascertain who they are in favour of.
We do understand that parents get upset when they receive statements showing fees owing and they have paid the fees. However, if no proof of payment has been received those parents will continue to receive statements.
Grade 7 parents who have paid up to date may come and collect Fee Clearance Certificates that will be needed by ATS/CHISZ Schools that Grade 7’s have been accepted into for January 2018.
Audiomax will be coming to do the final Hearing & Vision testing on Monday. Any parents still wanting to have their children’s hearing and vision tested here at school must please come to the office to make arrangements on Monday morning by the latest.
It will be our pleasure and turn on rotation next Wednesday to host the Eve Anderson Gala, which is an annual gala between Bishopslea, Convent and Chisipite.
Please note that next weekend is Half Term. School ends at 1:00pm next Thursday, 19th October, and reopens Tuesday 24th October.
