Dear Parents
Half Term certainly appears to have been enjoyed by all. We are now well into the second and most hectic half of the term with many events activities to be undertaken as well as much work to be covered in the classroom.
Our Grade 7’s are busy with their final preparations for their CHISZ Grade 7 Entrance Exams that they will write tomorrow at the schools of their first choice. They have all been working very hard for the exams and we wish them all every success.
Certificates for the Inter-House Bonds & Tables were presented in assembly this morning. It is very encouraging to see the standard of bonds and tables improving so much. Bonds and tables are immensely important to progress in maths.
Our congratulations go to Anika Mpururi, Aalia Mahboub and Dani Murrell who were selected to represent Mashonaland after the hockey trials held last Thursday.
Preparations for the PTA’s Golf Day on 14th July are well under way with many teams entering, Tee boxes and greens being sponsored and prizes being donated. Parents wishing to play and/or sponsor a hole are advised to do so as soon as possible to avoid missing the opportunity. The PTA are still appealing for prizes, which can be dropped off at the office. This Golf Day looks as though it’s going to be the best ever.
Thank you to all the parents who have joined our Bishopslea closed Facebook group and who have been sharing photos. Your efforts have contributed to the beautiful collage being created of school days at Bishopslea. Those parents who are not yet a part of our page are warmly invited to join.
