Dear Parents
There are now only three weeks of term left with a number of events still to be held.
Last week ended on a very high note with Bishopslea coming third in the Girls section of the 3 Woods Cross Country against 23 schools. Congratulations go to all our runners and especially to Makanaka Mawere, Angeline Mnaba and Hayley Clark for their podium finishes.
This week has been very full with the Ruzawi Cross Country on Wednesday afternoon, where we came second, the St John’s Invitational Athletics on Thursday afternoon, which we won, and our Inter-house Public Speaking on Thursday morning. Our congratulations go to all pupils who participated in these. Results are listed below.
Next week will be even more hectic as our five Choirs and all soloists will be participating in the Eisteddfod, which is unusual as they are normally spread over two weeks. The dates and times are indicated below.
Please note that afternoon activities end next Tuesday as the High Jump and Long Jump events for the Inter-House Sports Day will be held next Wednesday and Thursday afternoons. There will be hostel lunches and day boarding for all those who have paid for them though.
We will be holding our Interviews for the 2015 ECD and Grade 1 intake next week on Wednesday and Thursday afternoons as well.
Please note that the tennis matches against Chisipite scheduled for next Wednesday have been cancelled owing to the Inter-House jumps being held and Chisipite having clashes as well.
Next Saturday, 21st March, is our Inter-House Sports Day for all pupils in Grade 3 – 7. The event will begin at 8:45am. Please note that this event is compulsory for all pupils in Grade 3 – 7 as all will be participating in at least two events.
Our Parent/Teacher Consultations day for ECD to Grade 7 will be held the following week, on Tuesday 24th March and Thursday 26th March. These consultations give parents the opportunity to discuss their daughters progress etc with the class teachers. Letters of explanation with Return Slips, that need to be filled in and returned on Monday, are being forwarded today.
