 Dear Parents

The long weekend for Africa Day appears to have been enjoyed by all and even though this has been a short week it has certainly been a full one.

The highlight of the week so far was our Senior Choir singing so beautifully at Arundel’s Foundation Day Service on Wednesday evening.  What made it so special was that the Service was held in the Anglican Cathedral, which was filled to capacity.

We have also had a full week of sports with our Netball and Hockey teams playing matches.  Results are listed below.  The U13 and Fillies A Hockey Teams will be taking part in the Lilfordia Festival tomorrow and the U13 and Fillies B Hockey and Netball teams will be taking part in the Gateway Endeavour Festival tomorrow as well. We wish them all every success.

The PTA will be holding their Movie Night this evening, which all the pupils are very excited about.  The film will start promptly at 6:30pm with tickets on sale before then for those who have not already bought.  If there are more children wanting late tickets than food catered the ticket will be sold at $2:00 instead of the $5:00, which includes food and a drink.  Tickets for parents will be $2:00 and will not include food, which will be available separately.

Our grateful thanks once again go to Mr & Mrs Mandiwanzira and Mighty Movies for providing the projector, sound, screen and technicians for our Movie Night.

We have had a 40 foot container installed at the school.  It will be used to store all our costumes for plays etc.  Our grateful thanks go to Mr Prashant Shah for donating the container and to Mr Whitin for his donation of the transportation and installation of the container.

We now also have a second ride-on mower, which will ensure all our grounds and lawns are mowed more than adequately.  Our grateful thanks to Afgri for their assistance in aquiring       the mower.
