Dear Parents
We have had a very full and exciting week starting with our ‘Book Week’ activities, including a ‘Book Week’ based Chapel Service by Grade 6H. Book Week ended today with all pupils coming to school colourfully dressed as their favourite book characters.
The Eisteddfod started this week with all our Marimba entries and Soloists competing. The results were most pleasing and are listed below.
Unfortunately our Bishopslea Invitational Track Meet on Wednesday had to be cancelled because of rain, much to the great disappointment of all the schools who were joining us.
However, the highlight of the week was the Grade 6 Cultural Evening performance last night. It was most entertaining and thoroughly enjoyed by all. Our congratulations go to all the Grade 6 pupils, the Grade 6 teachers and the Shona teachers as well as to all the Grade 6 mom’s who helped with décor, costumes and the delicious food.
Next week will be equally full and exciting as next Saturday is our Inter-House Sports Day for all pupils in Grade 3 – 7. The high jump and long jump events will be held in advance on Wednesday (Seniors) and Thursday (Junior jumps) afternoons after the last day of normal activities which will be on Tuesday.
We also look forward to holding our first afternoon of interviews on Thursday for our prospective 2017 ECD and Grade 1 pupils.
We wish all our Cross Country Team members every success this afternoon at the Three Woods Cross Country.
