Dear Parents
Term is now in full swing with three weeks down already.  The Grade 7’s have been working very hard in preparation for their ZIMSEC Grade 7 Exams, which they will write over the next two weeks starting on Monday.  This year an Agriculture Exam is being introduced for the first time, increasing the exam days to ten.  We wish them all every success.

We are pleased to inform you that at the National Institute of Allied Arts Prize Giving, last Saturday, Zion Mupamhanga was not only awarded the National Prize for her age group but also the trophy for the Best National Primary School Artist.  Our congratulations go to Zion.

Our Wildlife Quiz team will be taking part in the Harare Finals of the Inter-Schools Wildlife Quiz tomorrow morning.  We wish them every success as well.

Preparations are in full swing for the PTA’s Sponsored Walk and Fun Day next Sunday, 8th October, which promises to be a wonderful event once again.  All pupils are encouraged to get as many sponsors as possible and all pupils raising at least $50 in sponsorship will be given a prize.  There is also a class prize for the class raising the most money and prizes for pupils in each Grade who raise the most.  Sponsorship money can be paid to the PTA by cash, swipe, RTGS into the following account : Bishopslea School, NMB, Southerton Branch, Account Number 020139463.

Preferably, sponsorship money should be paid, with proof of payment and the actual sponsorship form submitted, by next Friday, although they can be brought on the day.  Please note that Indemnity Forms must be signed and brought on the day of the walk

The Grade 7’s are once again preparing their stalls for the Day and there will be braai packs on sale for lunch and a bar.  Anyone wanting to sell produce or wares on the day may purchase a stall for $20 but will be required to bring their own tables, tents, etc.  This must be arranged and paid for in advance through the office.

We look forward to welcoming the Trustees of Ruzawi Schools to Bishopslea next Thursday for their AGM. For those unaware, both Ruzawi and Bishopslea schools fall under the Ruzawi School’s Trust.
