Dear Parents
A warm welcome back to all and a special welcome to new pupils and parents.
This term we welcome five new Junior Mistresses and Mrs Ferreira, who joins us in ECD for the term whilst Mrs Marais is on maternity leave.
School has started very smoothly with no disruptions resulting from the changed school dates.
Various works were undertaken around the school during the holidays including the paving of the driveway around the flag pole circle, the refurbishment of the tractor trailer, the pool shades were upgraded and extended, new mattresses were purchased for the hostel beds and the hostel beds were professionally refurbished, and painted using powder coating. The swimming pool solar heating was installed, which required the installation of new return ducts in the pool sides. The electrical controls are being installed and the system is about to be tested.
The Afternoon Activities Timetable, the Term Calendar, Day Boarding return and lunch letters are attached and are being forwarded in hard copy. Day Boarding and lunch returns to be returned by Monday please.
Afternoon Activities begin on Monday. Please be reminded that afternoon activities are compulsory and excuse notes from parents are required if a pupil is to miss an afternoon activity.
Also starting next week are the extra activities offered including Modern Dancing, Ballet, Pirates Swimming Club, Gymnastics, Rhythmic Gymnastics and drama. Parents are encouraged to make use of these facilities, as the benefits to pupils are enormous.
